Levittown, Yardley, Bristol, Which is best ?
Let me first say if I moved to PA I would be commuting to NYC for starters anyhow.
Can anyone offer some insight on living in Yardley vs. say living in Levittown or Bristol? Is Yardley a nicer neighborhood but Levittown and Bristol are just more convenient to NJ Transit and a quicker commute to NY?
I'm probably looking at getting a townhouse or condo preferably with a pool or tennis court on site. Things like parks and golf nearby for me and shopping for her are important, as well as enough restaurants and conveniences nearby.
Does anyone know of any good listings to look at for these neighborhoods? Is one better for a young married couple (no kids...yet) in their 30's?
Thanks for any help

Yardley is MUCH nicer. Levittown and Bristol are sort of yucky. Take a look at Newtown also.

My wife lived in Yardley area and yes it is not close to NJ transit like Bristol and Levittown but its a beautiful area. Comparing these areas is like comparing a Hyundi to a BMW 7 series. They are completely different.
Bristol is working to clean up, but it has many years to go. Levittown is so out dated and I have heard of nothing to improve the area. What about living in Princeton, NJ? Not trying to move you away from Philly but the area is nice, easy access to NJ Trans to NYC, and housing is much nicer in my opinion.
I would be living there now if I didn't relo to NC for my job.

I'm thinking the Princeton area is a tad more expensive but I admittingly have lost clients (I'm a real estate agent) to that area so there must be some magic in that area. Give a hollar if you need help finding a place.
Best Regards

Why go to Princeton and pay higher NJ property taxes and higher NJ auto insurance? PA is much better

Most Jersey people move to Yardley. Yardley and Newtown are the two most desirable areas for commuting into Princeton, NJ

We live in Yardley and my husband commutes to Wall Street everyday. Both the train stations in Hamilton and Trenton are within a fifteen minute drive. The town itself is wonderful. Great schools and a terrific community, not to mention safe and accessible. I'd highly recommend taking a look.
