Default nice areas close to philly
Are there any areas close to philadelphia that are nice to live in (i.e. low crime, good schools) where you can find a house for around 200-225K. Thanks for any info

roastiefish is on a distinguished road
Riverton NJ is quite nice. There is a nice park that I travel to regularly from Philadelphia to play some basketball and tennis because Philly does not have any safe places to take the kids.

Check out the Media/Springfield/Havertown area. Its in Delaware County about 8 miles west of Center City Philly.

Good schools, very low crime, and in this housing market $225K might get you a nice bargain.
