Default Philly Interracial Dating Scene

I'm considering a move to Philly for a job, but want to have some idea of the dating scene here for women in their 30's and South Asian. I'm mostly-but not necessarily always-attracted to caucasian men (although most of my ex bf's have been)...I was wondering what the Philly dating scene is like for a woman in her 30's and who's seeking this type of interracial relationship? Thanks.

Philadelphia has a little bit of everything, for everybody. You'll find what you're looking for, and more in the City of Brotherly Love.

I'm not sure if the South Asian population is that high in the metro; it doesn't seem to be so in the city proper. That may work out in your favor in the numbers game of dating, however.

Lots of Indians in South Jersey and the Northern PA suburbs. In the city itself, you see lots of South Asian-Caucasian pairings in U City especially, although the age demographic obviously bends a bit younger than early 30s (though you could have luck finding eligible grad students/young professionals). There's also a big Indian community in the Far Northeast (especially in the Pine Valley section of Bustleton). But this area is overwhelmingly family-oriented.

Thanks for the clarification.

I think Philadelphia and the surrounding areas are pretty accomodating for interracial couples. I am in my mid-30s and married to an East Asian. I live in the Northeast and have had absolutely no issues. My cousin is married to a South Asian and lives in the suburbs and again no issues.

All told, I don't think you will have any problems in and around the city, especially in college educated circles.

If, by South Asian, you mean you are Indian (from the subcontinent), you do know that dating a "caucasian" (i.e., white) person is NOT "interracial" dating, right? Inter-ethnic, perhaps.
