Default *Newtown* Traffic Question

Hello....

I'm exploring the part of Newtown that is rather close to the river and Yardley.

Say the starting point is Woodhill Road - Taylorsville Road-Upper River Road.

Ending point is QuakerBridge Mall in Lawrenceville.

For commuting, am I going the 'right' way or will the traffic be backed up?

Basically, it's Woodhill-UpperRiver-Taylorville to 95N.

Do any of those roads get bad in the morning or evening?

What about 95N in the morning, and 95 South in the evening?

Thanks!

(I was almost resolved to live in West Windsor or Skillman...but today I made the mistake of checking out more Newtown and now I really like the place. )

Did you mean Woodhill or Woodside Rd? Woodhill is in Upper Makefield, not Newtown.

In either case, there tends to be some traffic around the Scudders Falls Br. during rush hour, but not bad. Another option is taking the Wash Xing Br. and continue on 546 (Lawrenceville-Pennington Rd) and pick up I-95 at 31 or 206. You'll hit the most traffic when you get off at Rt 1.

Default Thanks Barry

Yes, Upper Makefield. I keep calling it Newtown.

This past Friday I drove at 8:15am from Woodhill road area to Lawrenceville. It only took 22 minutes...and I noticed no delays. I'm wondering if I was just lucky? I was expecting worse.

One more question please....

From Upper Makefield, at 8:00am....our preschool would be located in Newtown, in the strip-mall that has Genuardi's, Chick-Fil-A, etc. Basically I'd the taking Taylorsville road and 532 - Washington Crossing Road.

At that time in the morning, going in that direction...is it free flowing traffic or does it get all backed up?

Thanks

Taylorsville might be a little slow at that hour with everyone heading towards I-95. Personally, I'd take Woodhill in the other direction and make a left on Eagle Rd., which will take you right to the shopping center.
