You will miss Bergen County. You can always find nice apartments in New Jersey Cherry Hill, or Palmyra area for about 1200, or less. Good luck.

harry1312: You may want to look into some of the neighborhoods in the general museum area such as Spring Garden, Francisville or Fairmount. They're cheaper than Center City and far more accessible than Northern Liberties. If you lived in the vicinity of 19th street in Francisville or Spring Graden, for example, you could take the #33 bus and get to within a block of your office in 5-10 minutes.

Hi
I am leaving my apartment soon and I need someone to transfer the lease to. The remaining is 8 months and 2 weeks in the lease. It is in the city line avenue. you need one bus to get to the center city which is only 5 mins. from the apartment. it is one bedroom and one bathroom. The rent is $895. It includes water, gas, and heating system (you pay only for electricity). It have gym and swimming pool. It is close from target supermarket, Starbucks, California pizza, and friday's....etc.
let me know if you are interested or need more information.

Fishtown and Northern Liberties are both close to public transportation and have off street parking The ride into center city on the "EL" Market Frabkford line is about 10 minutes, roughly 6 stops to 15th and Market and I think both are great i have lived in Fishtown all my life

Look into the site Fishtown.us there are people from all over the neighborhood that can help with advice

Good luck in your move

With a budget of 1200 dollars for a one or two bedroom apartment, you can live pretty much anywhere you want. You can live in a hi-rise in Center City or you could even live in part of an amazing Victorian (or maybe even older than that) gem of a house going all the way from West and parts of Southwest Philly out to Lansdowne in Delaware County. You pick the type of living you want at that budget and you've pretty much got it.

Personally I would suggest the West/Southwest Philly area (others can give you a better rundown on the neighborhoods that are the safest and most calm and quiet in that section of the city), Media in Delaware County, maybe even Lansdowne though that's a lot more mixed age-wise than the others. Then of course there's places like maybe Mount Airy, possibly Fairmount/Art Museum area, parts of South Philly, Logan Square, Fitler Square, former Graduate Hospital area, Washington Square West, possibly Society Hill. Others can fill in any neighborhoods I left out but I mentioned these neighborhoods in particular because they're not necessarily as crazy as say Olde City or other places that are packed all the time late at night.
