As a frequent visitor to Philly(I have family there) I've wondered about what it was like to
grow up/come of age there in the 60's and 70's.Where did you hang out at? Go to meet girls
(or guys)? Did you have much of a cruising in cars culture? What were the cool places to go
that aren't there anymore?

A similar thread on the Denver forum was started in 2008 and was posted to just yesterday
(almost 600 posts) It was was pretty fun to read through it and "Remember when"

The answer's going to be different depending on which section the person grew up in. Sure everybody went and still goes to Center City but there was also a lot more in each neighborhood back then than there is right now.

absolutely. We used to cruise our cars in Philly back in the day.. Lotta street racing too Real American muscle not Honda Accords of today lol We used to cruise the Roosevelt mall and the blvd..
