Septa's toasters are limited to 90mph....

The Silverliner V's are outdated and crappy

The PCC cars would be cute if they were ADA accessible.

I'd like to see the NJ Coast Line going that fast. Only the Great Valley Flyer would have room to move like that - and it does get up and go between Paoli and Bryn Mawr.

to be fair, NJT doesn't own or operate the PATH . . . and IMO, PATCO stations are far nicer than their PATH counterparts.

This is one area where, hopefully, when SEPTA starts to order new trolleys they go with low-floor and higher capacity.

The PCC cars have been ADA compliant since they came back to Girard Ave. It's the law. Doors were widened and lifts were added when the cars were rebuilt.

Ha. That's not really that fast and the only time it moves like that is between Hazlet and Middletown and that usually when it's skipping Hazlet.

It's not going any faster than any SEPTA train traveling between similarly spaced stations.

Wow, SEPTA may be better than some, but it's a far cry from "best of the best". Give me the systems of DC, NYC, Chicago or Boston any day of the week over SEPTA.

What commuter rail network has faster locomotives than that? You're not running inter city service, so that extra speed is wasted on SEPTA's commuter network. 90mph is plenty fast enough.

The Silverliner Vs are indeed crappy, but outdated? I think not. Unfortunately newer trains seem to be moving in the crappy direction with all their plastic bells and whistles.

The PCC cars are ADA accessible.

Those NJTransit trains that run on the NEC - a lot of them run express and go for 20 miles without a station stop so they can really let the throttle out.
