My friend lived in deep North Philly. He was white. The cabs would not even take me there. I finally convinced a cabbie to go there. He dropped me off a block away. I was walking to the house, and a black guy in a hooded jacket (I refuse to use the term hoodie) looked me over and asked. "are you looking for the white guy?" I responded if his name is Scott then yes. He laughed and said, "yup he's the only white guy around here, he lives right there" and pointed to the house.

Technically speaking it was on the very eastern part of Spring Garden not Fairmount where that happened.

And given how many babies there are in Fairmount right now no one is feeling afraid there.
