Default Native Irish

My girlfriend is Irish, not 2nd street Irish..but born and bred...she'll be making her way over in a months time to begin work as a nurse. Is there anywhere left in the city that recent Irish immigrants still hang out in strength..bars in the city, little neighborhood pockets etc... i think it'll make her feel a little less home sick..thanks
No offense to the 2nd street generational irish of course ...

Comomodore Barry club in Mt. Airy has Friday night music sessions as well as other events. The Plough & Stars in Old City has sessions on Sundays, and I always thought Fergie's on Sansom Street had an atmosphere most like the pubs I've been to in Galway.
