Default Burbs of Philly

Hi - I am looking in the Philly area, maybe 1/2 hr or 45 minutes MAX from downtown. Good schools (two kids, 7 and 11 yrs old) and reformed jewish temple.

For now... forget about price, just name towns. Is Doylestown too far?

Doylestown is more than 45 minutes from downtown. Try Lower Merion, Elkins Park, Dresher, Lower Moreland to name a few with multiple congregations. The local Jewish paper, the Jewish Exponent, might be a good resource for you.

Along with MAF's response, the answers to your post in August still apply. The Reform Temples mentioned there are all within the driving distance you are looking for. Doylestown is definitely at least 45 minutes away (and probably more).

There is also Main Line Reform Temple in Wynnewood (near Lower Merion)

Try areas in Bucks County right on I-95... Like Newtown and Yardley. I am assuming that you would drive?

Yes for the time you describe..45 min in the Doylestown vacinity is probably minimum in traffic.....Jenkintown is OK and Elkins Park is OK. There are new homes in Yardley as "audrey77" says and are very nice.

Try Wayne or Devon. Wynnewood has a large reformed population.

Yardley has a nice jewish community and is about 30 minutes from center city if you drive, a little more if you take the train (but there are a few local train stops in Yardley)
