I have a job interview next week down by the refineries in Marcus Hook. I do not know that area at all but was wondering if anyone can tell me what the commute is like? It would probably involve taking the Blue Route & then over to 95. I was also wondering if there is a train that I could take down there. I could
always jump on at North Wales....Any info, advice would be appreciated!
I don't want to kick myself everytime I go to work in the morning......

That's quite the commute. Marcus Hook is basically Southwest Delaware County. The only train that I know of is the SEPTA train from 30th Street to Wilmington/Newark. It has two stops in Chester and one in Marcus Hook.

Yeah definitely no trains heading in that direction from Skippack. Your best bet might be
422 E to 202 South to Rt 1 S(1/2 mile) to 322 E and finally 452 S down to Marcus Hook. About a 1 hr commute each way depending on traffic.

Or like you said 476 to 95. I wouldnt even think about any short cuts on the back roads.

Boy, that would be a lousy commute. I just did a quick google map route and either you take the route you suggested or you head west first and go 422-202-452 and avoid some of the cars, but take on stop lights and deer. I guess it could be done for a short term. Agree with UDResident about the trains - the one that stops in Marcus Hook is from Wilmington, which doesn't help you a bit. SEPTA | Marcus Hook Station

It's not from Wilmington. It goes to Wilmington (and at times Newark) from 30th Street and then back.

Really though, that is one "fun" commute to work at the refineries. I hope you're in some sort of management position or something.

Sorry, my mistake.

Yes, I am thinking I am going to cancel this interview. I am already working, so it's not like
I am unemployed. I don't think I can do this commute everyday. I think I would HATE it and then
in turn it would effect my job. I might drive there on Saturday for a test run and add in extra time
for traffic.
