There's a running club in Ambler, which isn't too far away and probably has a range in ages. There's also a running store in North Wales that hosts regular runs.

A few ways to find/meet volunteers in the area:
First Fridays should be starting up again on April 5th -- Main St. gets really hopping then! There are also booths sponsored by local volunteer organizations. Saturday, June 1 should be
Lansdale Day , when Main St. shuts down and there are even MORE local organizations set up. You might find one that's interesting, or just meet and talk to the young people staffing the booths. Also check out the
Lansdale Farmer's Market , starting up in May.
You may want to also post your question on the Facebook page for
Lansdale Patch . It's a pretty active site, but there can be some not-so-nice responses.
And lastly there are some very active social groups at local churches and other places of worship that would be worth checking out, for making new friends.
