They say violent incidents are down, though.

If anyone is curious:

Its publicly posted information with a map: https://www.phillypolice.com/crime-maps-stats/

Ain't pretty for sure, but I don't see some crazy crime wave in these numbers.

Speaking of crime.

What are people's opinions on the missing Bucks boys?

The police searching the arrested man's farm makes me think they think he killed them all. Let's hope not!

They're dead. I will be very surprised if I'm wrong.

Whether there's a "crime wave" is going to be subjective. Generally, what I'd like to know is whether stranger violence is on the rise. The 22 percent increase in homicides to date (per PPD web site) is quite troubling regardless---it's on par with '08, '10, and '11. I hope this year will be an outlier, and we'll see this number continue to decrease. I don't know what an "acceptable" level of violent crime would be for Philadelphia, since there will always be some level of crime, but I do know that it is way too high and has been for a long time.

And on a related note, I'm always a bit skeptical of crime statistics as it pertains to huge cities like Philadelphia. It is a useful metric from some perspectives, but it is the sort of information that is more valuable when broken down by neighborhood. Most notably in areas of the city afflicted with violence, we can expect that a good amount of crime goes unreported.

As far as the young men missing in Bucks County, it doesn't look good.

I think they were wannabe "players in the game" and wound up in a pig farm in Delaware.
