To mmetal...... Where are you coming from? Is there someplace you are familier with now that you like and would like to duplicate? Otherwise I tell people like you who really have no idea to go to a map and draw circles around your destination (Wayne), find major roads that lead there and then follow them out and look for interesting places on the map, google them and start to make a list. Bing maps are nice because they have that birds eye feature and you can actually see what neighborhoods look like. Next go to Trulia - Real Estate, Homes for Sale, Apartments for Rent, Local data and plug in the zip of a place on your list and see what kind of housing is available.

I re-read the OP 3x and nowhere did I see him (or her) mention anything about the Main Line.

Just that s/he wanted to be within a one hour of commute of Wayne.
