Hello all!

I just wanted to chime in and say what a wonderful time I had in your city this past week.

This was my second time in Philadelphia. My first visit was in 2011 to see a friend of mine who, at the time, recently relocated there. I have to admit, I didn't really explore the city as I mostly used it for a jump off point to go visit other friends in NJ and NYC. So this time around I committed to seeing Philly. And it was great!

I managed to get a few of the classic Philly attractions (Art Museum, Independence Hall) But what stuck out to me was the non-touristy parts of the city. Granted, I only saw a small part of the city, but I was very impressed. Great restaurants, fantastic bars. I even managed to squeeze in a visit to the Italian Market. I love what has been done with the riverfront area, and the vibe and energy of Center City is fantastic. The people I had contact with were surprisingly friendly.

You guys (or should I say "youze guys") have a great, underrated city that seems to be really gentrifying and changing for the better. Will definitely be back!

Most visitors seem to have pretty much the same impressions that you had.

Thanks.

My favorite uncle, now 79 years young, lived at various times in his life in New York City (where he was born and grew up) Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Miami and Philly. This is what he said about Philly: "It is the most under-rated city in America!"

I can see this from obsessively doing Street View tours through Google Maps. I am big on urban aesthetics and I love what I see of Philly.

Its size and good looks make it so, and the people I'm sure.
