I think that is all resident permit parking. You'll have to go a bit farther out for a garage. Meters are active Monday - Sunday. Some residential meter spots prohibit parking at certain times a day for traffic reasons. Parking varies from block to block based on the make up of businesses and residents there.

I would find the closest garage so you don't find yourself staring in a episode of "Parking Wars"

none residents can park for free for two hours. This is true of Christian as well as just about all of the side streets in that area. So if you're going to a restaurant or something like that you can park for free for a couple of hours though you'll have to be prepared to drive around looking for parking. The area is safe enough to park and walk. If you're in for a longer stay however you'll need to find a garage, I believe all the closest lots will be to the north of the area you're headed.
