in the case of a heavy downpour there could be a flood. Bring a life preserver. Also earthquakes could be a problem..... but It is very safe in a tornado.

the subways are creepy at night.. probably why SEPTA closes them at 12. BTW PATCO runs 24/7 and is really safe.

I only recommend subways during rush hour. So basically avoid catching the subway during

9pm and after
