The blvd is not nearly as crowded, as fast and as dangerous as 76. Don't worry about it.. Its not that bad

The Blvd is a mess. Watch out. Understand the Inner and Outer Drive before you go on it.

It is not like 76. There are traffic lights every few hundred yards and many of them have red light cameras. The road basically has 6 lanes going in each direction, however, they are split into an inner or express roadway of 3 lans and an outer or local roadway of 3 lanes. You can switch between the 2 at various points, however, there is no merging room so it leads to dangerous conditions. Just take your time while driving it and stay alert and you'll be fine.

Here is a typical section of the Blvd http://goo.gl/maps/ANw8E

Roosevelt Boulevard famously was rated to have two of the most dangerous intersections in the country along a one mile stretch (in terms of accidents), and I'm not sure if anything has been done to improve those conditions since then.

In the google satellite photo of one of those intersections, you can kind of see why - haha

Both those intersections have the delayed left hand turning arrows in place that were not when this rating was done. They also have the red light cameras. I already got a violation for the one at Red Lion and the Blvd.
Like Frank posted, the Blvd is mild compared to the expressway.
