You might want to check out Chesterbrook, which is a fairly large townhouse community in Berwyn. I believe that many are rentals, and they are pretty nice. 10 minutes at most to Wayne, very safe, great school district (I think it's Treddyfrin-Easttown).

There's actually lots of rental communities on the Main Line. Many are mid-rise (6-10 stories), and there's some garden apartments as well. All Main Line schools are going to be at least good, if not excellent (Lower Merion, Radnor, T-E, Haverford).

You might even want to check out Place One Apartments, which is a 10-story bldg in Plymouth Meeting, which is about 20 minutes or so from Wayne, via the Blue Route (I-476) and Lancaster Avenue (US 30). Also a good school district (Colonial, where I went).

I guess I should ask if you want to rent a house or an apartment? I assumed an apartment, but do a search for these communities/school districts and you should find plenty of home rentals.

Here are a few links to apartment/townhome communities within commuting distance to Wayne.

The community of Eagleview which is in Exton is very nice and would advise looking into.

Wayne is a pretty nice area and is surrounded by excellent school districts.

If you want some cheaper options that are still nearby, look into Broomall or Havertown areas too. Both have strong school districts and should have both apts and houses for rent.
