Does anyone know this street in Philadelphia, or have any ideas? I saw it in a TV show, and it's driving me crazy...

Could be part of the area that Elfreth's Alley is in- there are a few of those alley type streets over there- from the old days.

I'd say it's not in Society Hill, but a nearby street. Some of those windows are non-traditional. When the rehabbing was going on, if a building was not structurally sound & permission was given to tear it down the replacement structure had to blend in.

Not really sure as it could be a few different areas of the city. A lot of people don't realize that there are lots of streets with this character in Philly outside of society hill. Since there are some anomalies to traditional restoration (which isn't allowed without a variance AFAIK in Society Hill) this could be outside that neighborhood.

Check out the little alley's near the Mask & Wig Club. From 11th to 13th and Lombard to Locust there are a ton of hidden residential alley's with Trinities and extended trinities. There is even a few quaint streets like this in the heart of Center City, but they tend to be flanked by dumpsters and loading docks for the bigger buildings, so go unnoticed.

I only remember one building in Society Hill where permission was given for non-compliant windows & all of the windows were non-compliant. I agree that there are a lot of streets near Society Hill that have this look.
