I just moved here from out of state and heating oil is new to me. Does the price drop in warmer months? When we move out of our awful rental this summer, we need to leave the tank full. I was curious if prices drop in the summer. Thanks!

Heating oil is just diesel gas (the same that goes in a car) with added dye. It follows the same trend as automobile fuel.

You can check out graphs of past years here, noting you can specify Philadelphia (in addition to national average):
Historical Gas Price Charts - GasBuddy.com

So, to answer your question directly: No. Heating oil price does not drop in the summer. Demand actually goes up for diesel, with more people traveling by car.

Yeah, you can expect to pay a little more than whatever current gas station prices are.
