Need the info on Philly (Dallas, Penn: crime, where to live, moving to)

Okay I have sat here while at work scanning thru posts and trying to understand all of the information. I know this is going to be another where to live post and I am sorry for that.

I am moving to Philly because of a divorce. My soon to be ex HATES Texas. I know what is there really to hate here? I currently live outside Fort Worth. I have no idea really where these places are. Mapquest only goes so far. My main concern is this. Where exactly are the "ghettos" that are drug and crime infested? (Avoid these areas at all cost!) I don't want to live up to the Texas stereotype and carry my gun with me all the time.

And my last question is... Y'all don't lynch Texans in the street do y'all?

And I also forgot to ask about any information on EMS Services in the Philly area. I am a paramedic and would like to work while I live there!

To answer your first question - we do if they are wearing a Dallas Cowboy uniform (especially with #81).

As far as your second question, we have many excellent hospitals in the city and surrounding areas, so I would think you should be able to get a job.
