Haha, I was going to ask about this show and if it was set in Philly since I've never heard of it before, but I guess I'll have to start my own thread on that.

I don't think that particular street scene was taped in Philadelphia. The streetscape looks like it could be here, but the particular buildings are not familiar. I also don't think the shot near the beginning with the "welcome to Philadelphia" sign was shot in Philadelphia. The buildings in the background are not local.

The revolving panorama, though, is quite obviously Philadelphia in all of its 1970's grimy glory.

I was going to say that too - but I was neither here nor alive in 1979.

One giveaway is that it's a one way street with three lanes of traffic plus one dedicated lane for street parking.
