Hi guys! Tomorrow I will be doing my tour around Philly for the first time.

I want to know where can I get the best Philly Cheesesteak in Center City because I never really had one and Ive been dying to try it since I got here in the US.

I dont have a car so i cant go farther than center city area.

Please. It would be greatly appreciated. I dont wanna try a mediocre cheesesteak. Please send in those recommendations.

Thanks! so excited

Philly has a public transit system - SEPTA | Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority

The 2 main touristy cheesesteak places are Pat's and Geno's - both in South Philly and easily accessible by the Broad Street Line (subway).

I'm partial to Steve's. Their product is unique in that they don't chop their meat, which makes for a better-tasting steak, IMO.

I am sorry that I don't have an answer. On the other hand, it cracks me up that people won't answer your question (along Walnut, Chestnut, Spruce), but instead go on with their own agendas.I don't know whether it is on account of poor reading comprehension or that they're sociopaths. Good luck.
If you are a drinking person stop at Fergies , Sansom between 12 & 13 and ask them. Good luck.

Steve's has a location at 16th and Chestnut. It opened over a year ago.

On the other hand, it cracks me up that people won't answer your question, but instead make ironically smug and condescending remarks based on outdated perceptions of reality. I don't know if it is on account of living under a rock or that they don't know how to use "the Google."

Thanks for playing!

I second Steve's...very friendly service, cool space, delicious sandwich, and a few other interesting things on the menu to try...

Hmm, now I'm hungry.
