We are moving to West Point, PA with two kids and a dog. We want good schools and a safe are but are struggling with the increase in the cost of living. My husband is willing to commute via our own vehicle with a commute of around 30 minutes. Kids are ages 3 1/2 and 8 months and will be in daycare. Any assistance and advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Might be helpful if you could be more specific about your budget and the type of home you are looking for. There are a wide variety of options within a 30 minute radius of West Point / North Wales. If you want relatively low cost areas in a good school district, you may want to look in the boroughs of Lansdale and North Wales.

Like Angus mentioned - not sure what your budget is but I'd recommend looking somewhere in the Souderton Area School District. It's a great district and the communities in it are all very family friendly. I think Harleysville is the nicest area but the actual towns of Souderton and Telford probably have the least expensive real estate and would still be around a half hour commute with traffic. Might be more affordable than Upper/Lower Gwynedd by Merck.
