OK folks, we're down to the last two pix. I'll give folks until the end of the day. Let's start with this one:

phillies2011 correctly narrowed it down to this area:

It's on a corner in the Fitler Square area.

Now for this one (probably the most challenging of all). Here's a hint - it's on a corner in Washington West:

I acknowledged up front that I thought these two pix might be the most difficult to ID and that turned out to be correct. Keep trying and we'll see who can locate them by the end of the day.

Best of luck!

Yep! I felt sure you were gonna get it. There it is right there on the corner of the building: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.9492...AKMY9jxNzQ!2e0. Wish I could rep you again, especially since you braved the rain, but I'm out of points.

The only picture left is that "obscure door" in Washington West.

Haha yea I don't know why I couldn't find it on Google Maps, I definitely google map street viewed right down that street. Must have been looking at the wrong angle or something.

Don't worry about the rain, walking around looking for the sign was actually really nice. When you walk around this city all the time you can sometimes forget to really look and examine what you're seeing. Walking around really inspecting every building looking for a sign... you see things in a new light. Haha besides, the truth is I don't need much to motivate me to walk around this city rain or no!

It's an amazing city to walk around - isn't it. Each time I walk, even the same streets, I seem to see something new. I enjoy taking pix just for kicks and the cell phone makes it so easy. Normally I go for the big picture (skyline, streetscapes, etc.), but I've been focusing on the small(er) details lately. Knowing how plugged in you and the other regulars here are gave me the idea for this thread, and I had a feeling most of these pix would be identified. Looks like I was right. Glad is was fun - it was meant to be.

Default Where is the obscure door?

OK Philly posters - Between you, you identified 22 pictures from all over Center City over the past couple of days, including a number of which you had little to go on. As I expected, you know your city well. Here's how the last 8 shook out:

1) Union League steps - id'ed by Famous Blue Raincoat
2) Atlantic Building (from inside Kimmel) - id'ed by Famous Blue Raincoat
3) Hanging sign on N 3rd Street between Arch and Races St, west side of the street - id'ed by phillies2011
4) Fire escape on the building at S 13th St and Chestnut (east side, Grocery on the ground floor) - id'ed by Famous Blue Raincoat
5) Lantern on Ben Franklin Bridge id'ed by phillies2011
6) Details above apartment building in 1200 block of Locust Street, mid block, north side of the street- id'ed by Famous Blue Raincoat
7) Old meat market sign on the corner of S. 22nd Street and Rittenhouse Square - id'ed by phillies2011

And the elusive No. 8: Door on house at northeast corner of Pine Street and Camac - almost id'ed by kidpilly (https://www.google.com/maps/@39.9452...ow!2e0!6m1!1e1)

Hope you guys enjoyed this. I may have a few more pictures I can pull together, but I'd like to leave space for others. I'd particularly enjoy if anyone wanted to post pix of landmarks outside Center City. At 3 and a half years, I'm still a bit of a newbie here and this would be a great way to see a bit more of my adopted home.

I don't have a very good camera, but I can think of some places I could take screen caps of in streetview and post, If your interested. They won't be as pretty as yours by any means though.
