You got number 1 right - you were off on the other ones. Which means that number 1, 4, and 5 have been gotten - and number 7 has pretty much been identified.

I think number 6 is 5th street in Olney, between Fisher and Somerville ave

Since we seem to have all moved on from it, the space invader was on Main street in Manayunk, Between Levering st and Grape st

Good job - the viaduct that carries the Fox Chase Line and freight tracks through Olney.

I tried to cheat so hard on that space invaders since the address was on the building - looking at the 4300 block of any street with a possible business on it - that was a tough one.

Funny – I didn't know looking for addresses was cheating. I searched all over S Philly and Northwest Philly in Google maps looking at the 4300 block of streets I've never been on. That's what's been fun for me – seeing places in the city up never been before.

Been doing the same with your pix, FBR. I feel I've seen No. 2 somewhere. Is it on the north side?

Yeah - number 2 is located pretty centrally in North Philly.

FBR - Hunted around on google maps and still coming up short. I'm thinking you might need to give a few more clues on the pix we can't identify.

It's been a couple of days - and since they're well outside the more traveled areas, I'll go ahead with the answers.

1) Was 39th District Police Station at Hunting Park and Erie, gotten by 2e1m5a

2) I presume it to be an old bank - but it's on the 1000 Block of Lehigh Avenue just off of the Germantown and Lehigh shopping district. The thoughtfulness that people in the past put into buildings that are in neighborhoods that most people don't even think about today is pretty amazing. A couple other neat buildings are on this block.

3) Just a couple blocks up from number 2 - Fairhill Burial Ground, an old Quaker cemetery between Germantown, Cambria, Indiana, and 9th Street. Beautiful in the spring, as you see, a few handsome old churches around, as well as some pretty decent PHA construction.

4) Correctly identified as Market Square in Germantown by maf763. Germantown Avenue and School House Lane. Monument is for Civil War soldiers from Germantown.

5) Correctly identified as Germantown Town Hal by maf763. Germantown Avenue and Haines. From my old apartment in Germantown I could see the skyline of Germantown, which is mostly church steeples, aside from the two taller buildings at Chelten and Town Hall's clocktower.

6) Correctly identified as train trestle through Olney on 5th Street by thwanko.

7) Steel Heddle Manufacturing building at 21st and Allegheny. It's an old factory. It's one of a large number of abandoned industrial buildings which you have an amazing and depressing view of from both the Chestnut Hill West line and Manayunk Norristown Line if you look to the south just west of North Broad Street.

Thanks FBR - I agree some of these shots were aw bit obscure, but it's still very intuiting (at elat to me) to see parts of the city I don;t know much about.

I'm going to go ahead and post some more shots I took, and I suspect many of you will recognize them quite easily. Still, I hope it's fun:

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

#1 -- that little sculpture park across the street from Maggiano's (and catty corner from Reading Terminal Market) at 12th and Arch St.

#6 -- entrance to the William Way Community Center on Spruce St. between Broad and 13th.
