Default Cheap places to stay (near the Wachovia Centre)

Hey there, i'll be in Philly sometime next month at the Wachovia Centre and was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice, but cheap place to stay within distance? Thanks in advance

The Holiday Inn Stadium is the best of a limited choice of places within walking distance of the stadiums and arenas but from reviews I've read from another site, one shouldn't expect much more than a crash pad. If you want to go out afterwards, there's not much around except maybe Chickie and Pete's sports bar. Center City is a 10 minute northbound subway ride away, however.

It would be nice if an entertainment district could be developed in the Stadium District but the nearby homeowners are understandably resistant to more potential traffic and stragglers coming through their neighborhoods.
