Default Moving to Gilbertsville

Hi,

I am moving my family to Gilbertsville in March. I have two children under 3 and I am interested in finding out about any moms groups that have formed in the surrounding area. The area seems kind of rural and a little different from what I am used to, so if anybody has any information on the area please help. Also, it seems that the nuclear power plant has not stopped development or home building. Has anybody had any concerns?

Thanks

You may want to also post this on the general Pennsylvania forum. Gilbertsville may be considered to be in the Philly exurbs; it's actually closer to Reading than to Philadelphia.

Smile Moving to Gilbertsville

Yes, Gilbertsville is an extremely small township. We mostly have activities going on nearby in Boyertown or Pottstown to attend. There is a moms club that meets in New Hanover. I have met many ladies going to local scrapbooking crops and church. It is a rural area but we are growing . A new mall just opened up last Christmas in Limerick and another small shopping center is coming soon. If I want to shop at Macy's etc. I go to King of Prussia that is only a half hour away. Best wishes on your move. It is rural but the people are nice.

Go to meet up .com and you will find local moms groups, Also the Pottstown Public library has some great free kids programs.
