I heard Fitler Square used to be bad, but I didn't know it was that recent in history. Nevertheless, that would suck for me as I don't want to be a little sperm swimming around inside my dad again lol

10-20 years ago, I was thinking that maybe Penns Landing could be like the Embarcadero or Pike Place Market. unfortunately, it still looks like crap. I was hoping that casino development would improve the area, but only 1 of the planned casinos were built...I hope Penn's Landing lives up to its potential before I die
Never been to seattle but Spruce Harbor Park >>>>>>> Embarcadero.
Embarcadero is mainly the big (and overpriced) Reading Terminal type build and a couple of other overpriced restaurants across the street near the google building.

Too bad I can't show them any of the beer gardens yet (unless I get a fake!) All of the girls I have dated have been older than me. Hell, the girl my best friend wants to hook me up with is older than me, so the trend will continue!
Nope, I can assure you many older people love the vibrancy. FBJ is in the minority as far as that goes.

I wouldn't say bad exactly. But there was a high profile murder there of a Penn grad student years ago. The perp was finally found in Colorado.

He was also the Center City rapist which was a huge situation back then. The perp lived in an apt building at 41st and Baltimore.

Drinking is fun, but don't rush getting older.

Also older people enjoy vibrancy as kyb01 said, but younger people like us can adapt easier. And clearly nowadays urban environments are catering to people ages 21-35 more so than someone in the 50s or 60s+ but the city is still a very enjoyable place if you like an exciting lifestyle.

One reason it was so high profile is because it was NOT a bad area at all!

go 5-10 blocks south and that's another story..

(in 1998 I was living at 23rd & Pine)
