I learned a few things along the way:

-I took the CHE to 30th Street Station to see if there was nightlife in University City. I walked along Market Street until I reached 34th Street. There wasn't much going on. Was I in the wrong area, or is the area more lively during the semester at Penn and Drexel (and to a lesser extent, USciences)?
You could have gone a block south to the 3400 block of Sansom St. There's nightlife there. Or gone to 40th St between Chestnut and Locust. Or Baltimore Ave. 43rd to 50th Sts. Plenty of things to do. But yes, UC should be livelier by the end of Aug when more students are back.

Shame you skipped SSHP, you literally walked right by it as you were walking to South Street. FYI it's only open till end of Sep so if you don't hit it before then, will have to wait till next year
