My husband and I are seriously considering relocating to PA and we were leaning towards Bucks County or Lehigh Valley although from my research it seems that Bucks County is more preferable. We are looking for a new home and we like the Doylestown area but it seems to be a bit pricey. We can look at a home up to $500k but ideally would prefer not to go over $450k. A safe area and excellent schools are a must. Can anyone recommend a builder/ community in the area/ surrounding area that might be a good fit. Thank you :-)

You aren't going to get much in the way of new homes for $450k or less (or they will be small with cheapo finishes) south or east of Quakertown unless you are willing to consider a townhouse, but go north, west, or in the Quakertown area and you can find it. Upper Saucon in Lehigh county has new homes for $500k or less and good schools. Where will you be working is the more important question.
