Yes, thanks.

But people here seemed to know the other two schools were good from personal experience. Does anybody know about McCall?

Renting in Bala, may be your best option.
You have no first hand knowledge or direct experience with any public school in the city correct? So what is your point in posting this?

One more question - where are 2 other schools that I found - Meredith William M School (725 South 5th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147) with rating 8 out of 10, and Penn Alexander School (4209 Spruce St, Philadelphia, PA 19104) - 9 out of 10. They both are K - 8, good for us for now. Are these, as you saying "admit exceptional students only"? Are these good areas to live, anyway? Thank you!!!!!!
Bache-Martin elementary school is right in the heart of Fairmount at 22nd and Brown Sts, btw.

Yes, both of the schools you listed are in great areas. Penn Alexander is right next to the U. of PA in University City.

Are my statements incorrect? The OP asked for information and I provided it.

What the OP needs is direct information from people/parents that's authentic and from people who live in the city.

You do not fit either category.
