Okay, I'm starting to really believe we have the core of a good team now. But, still...we need pitching.

The supposed best team in baseball looked like they were panicking out there. Nice to see Utley again though.

You know what I'd like to see from this nucleus of Nola, Hoskins, Williams, Alfaro, Crawford, Altherr, etc, kyb01?
Something the nuclei of Carlton, Schmidt, Boone, Luzinski, Bowa, McGraw, etc and Hamels, Howard, Utley, Ruiz, Rollins, etc couldn't give us - more than one championship!

I'm 48 and that's something I'd like to see before I die.

You may actually see it. Not so sure about me.

It's been fun to watch them over the last 3 games.

You sound feisty enough to get in another twenty years.

Maybe not. My dad died at 72. My mom at 90. I'm a LOT like him.

Split the difference - 81 work for you?

Maybe again... My general attitude is like his but I'm healthier than he was at the same age.

The Phils will have a new manager next season, as Pete has been reassigned to special assistant to the GM. I'm a little surprised by this move, but not completely.

Been some names tossed around this afternoon, but I like Ron Roenicke as a strong candidate- unless Buck Showalter can be had.
