I think it would look out of place there. Too tall compared to those buildings.

I would like to see it east of Broad St.....even at 8th & Market, but the developer already bought the lot and that location is near the heart of the financial district so more desirable to prespective tenants.

WOW. In the artist rendering above ACC really dwarfs One Liberty Place. I hope this building is built.

I'm all for it being built if the financing is there and the need is there. Didn't One Liberty Place just get sold at a loss a couple years back? Now that spire might have to go because, to me, the true height of a building is how many floors you have. A 300 foot flagpole atop a 1200 foot tower isn't really a 1500 foot tall building.

I agree with some of the others...the Comcast Tower is one ugly skyscrapper. Seems like no creativity or design was incorporated into the top of the building. In my opinion, its flat roof/top makes the building look unfinished.

I like that new building in West philadelphia, the one near the University. Its blue glass and concentric in shape. Its not the tallest but the design makes it the best of all the Philadelphia skyscrapers built in the last 30 years.

quote: Wikipedia:
"Overall, Miami's skyline is ranked first in the Southeast and third in the United States, after New York City and Chicago. By 2010, Miami is expected to have one of largest skylines in the world. Of the 10 tallest buildings in the city, 2 were constructed in 2007, 6 in 2008, 2 in the 1980's and 1 in 2003. In addition, only 5 of the city's 25 tallest buildings were completed before the year 2000."

This is based on the number of tall buildings which have made it to construction thus far, so it's not my opinion. It's actually a statistical fact.

Miami - USA - Page 20 - SkyscraperCity

Does anyone know how Miami got to built so fast?
well its simple drug money
do a little research on Miami (80s and 90s were not so great for miami)
so I am not surprise Miami built there selves really fast
and also I would like you guys to do some research on who owns half of those building?
well that will be former mobster from columbia
drug money speaks
unlike other cities
that built there way to the top
and by the way do not try to argue with me on this one
I think I know what I am talking about
so to all the other cities in the U.S do what Miami did
let the thug money built your city to the top
Philly you are almost here (Miami at one point hold a lot of crime)
the differences from Miami and Philly is: Miami invest with drug money and Philly just kill for stupid reason
