I truly hope they win. It would be an incredible tonic. I started this thread with little hope and look how wrong I was!

Thanks posters for policing yourself with a minimum of fuss.

I'm a huge Eagles fan and my husband is a season ticket holder. He's holding out some hope that he'll get tickets for the Superbowl, but I understand the chances are slim. I heard an interesting blurb on WHYY yesterday about the idea of opening up the Linc for a watch party. I think it's a wonderful idea, but next to no chance for it to happen this year. I must admit, I'm starting to think they can do it....that at least it's possible.
Everyone I know is confident.
They're rubbing off on me

oh bummer. I thought that was happening for sure. My plane gets in at 7:30 that night. My first night in Philly will be one to remember!

Anyway I had fun last night. The crowd was pumped, but people held there composure at least near city hall. Ten years ago, all mayhem broke loose after the Phillies won the world series. 20 people barrelled through the glass window of Robinson Luggage, now Wawa, at Broad and Walnut. Looted the store smh. Much more peaceful last night to say the least.

This guy got some shots of the crowd: https://imgur.com/a/NSbMF

I took a few too.
I'm a little late to respond to this, but I actually see my face in the crowd in that guy's second pic! Sunday night was INSANE, and so was McGillin's after I left Broad Street to bring the celebration inside!

There was a ton of silence walking around CC while the game was on. Lol. Once it looked certain they were gonna win, I said to myself, "Do I want to get overwhelmed by a bunch of young folks celebrating?" I opted to go home. Anyhow if they win the SB, it will make the Phillies win in '08 look like nothing. Insane won't even describe it! Where is Carson W right now? After all he is a primary reason this is happening in the first place. Let's not forget him!

Everyone loves Carson and knows he will be here for a long time. He is, without a doubt, 50% of the reason that the Eagles made the Super Bowl. I have his jersey in home green, but said to my husband at dinner today that I think I will invest in an away white one as well since he will be here a long time.

Good luck guys! I don't particularly like the Eagles but it's certainly worlds better than the Pats winning that's for sure. I just wish my Jags had been able to stop the evil empire. Anyway, good luck!

Thanks!

The sweet thing for some of us oldsters is we remember the last real championship in, yikes, 1960!

Given that the Eagles are one of original NFL teams that makes a SB appearance pretty powerful for me anyhow.
