Actually, it turns into Christopher Columbus Blvd at Spring Garden not Penn's Landing. And to answer the OP's question, I always call it Delaware--just like I still call Cecil B Moore Ave, Columbia Ave.

Originally Delaware Ave, about 20 years ago they did a name change to Columbus Bkvd. Several people protested, including myself, so it became Columbus Blvd from Spring Garden on, towards Center City, It is still Delaware Avenue running the opposite direction through Fishtown, Pt. Richmond, etc..

The same happened with Columbia, in Fishtown, it is still Columbia, everywhere else it is Cecil B. Moore

Default Delaware ave

It's Delaware Ave, named and paved by the estate of Stephen Girard. He left funding and specific instruction in his will for the naming and paving of the road to the main ports of the city. His instructions said; the thorofare was to be named Delaware Ave., after the river and the original inhabitants, the Lenni Lenape, later known as the Delaware Indians, Girard, was a wealthy business man, and ship owner of the city. It was partially renamed in a contraversial (and bad) decision by city council in 1992...

Delaware Ave.

What irks me even more is the renaming of Passyunk Square Park to "Columbus Square"

Delaware Ave. And I also dislike the name change of East and West River Drive. Dumb, just dumb.

it took me a few seconds to sink in that they were the same thing. I don't know anyone who uses the name "Columbus Blvd." I think even 1060 kyw refers to it as Delaware Ave whenever they report a story originating from there.

so...what do you call it? Delaware Ave or Columbus Blvd????
Your right Ant$!

I still call it Delaware Ave and I will never call it anything else!!!
