I know this seems so simple but someone in our church was involved in the fire this weekend.

2 small babies and a grandmother killed. No working smoke detectors.

Do they still give them out for free at the fire department?

You can request smoke alarms through Philly311 (via the app or by phone), and the Fire Department will install them in your home. You should have one alarm on each floor of your home, including the basement.
