So I've been in Phoenix for a little over 2 years now. I'm a south Jersey Camden/Burlington County native. I'm ready to come home. I'd be working at the airport and don't want to live in Jersey. Looking for a good place to invest in Philly's future. Any suggestions? Within a half an hour of the airport. I was thinking Delco. That way my pups have a yard. Max budget is 200k. But I don't need much space for me and 2 dogs. Extra rental income would be great.

Draw a radius around location area and try a real estate website like realtor.com to give you an idea of prices.

Within a half-hour also can get you to northern Delaware, if you're interested in that.

I think your budget will be the biggest hurdle. But let's wee what and where others suggest.

In reality I can afford to go up to 250k but I'd rather have smaller house and less of a payment to get a house paid off quicker

Woodlyn, Folsom, Tinicum, and Essington should be fine for you for PA. I think your budget would fit for those areas. Especially if you don't need a brand new spankin' home. You could probably buy a small, old home, and have some funds to remodel too. Those areas are convenient to the airport.

I'd even be willing to live in Philly as long as there was a tint space my dogs could go to the bathroom when I work 10 hour shifts.

Look at West Philly, Roxborough, East Falls might work, but not sure.

Definitely Delco as others suggested. Springfield, and neighboring burbs.

I don't know what 250 will get you in Springfield. Do you want a row/townhouse? Single Family Home?
