Phillies know they will only get 5 to 7 years of good production from him realistically. They paid market price.

I'll say ten years, through his thirty-fifth year.

... and maybe all thirteen if the N.L. adopts the designated hitter (which I hope they do not).

He'll get a career ending injury before that. Look, I'm generally not an optimist about a lot of stuff.

1) Segura
2) McCutcheon
3) Hoskins
4) Harper
5) Realmuto
6) Franco
7) Herrera
8) Hernandez/Kingery in a platoon
9) pitcher

I would like Harper batting third, but I think they need to bat him fourth to split up the right-handed bats of Hoskins and Realmuto.

Let's see how Kapler can mess this up on a daily basis.

His stats will also be EXAMINED after every Phillies win this season, especially if they start out 12-3.

We can get used to looking at 2 for 3 with a walk, a run scored and two RBI.

Prediction. The honeymoon with Phillies fans will be short. If he doesn't produce the knives will come out.
