Obviously I missed that because it is unusual to bump up these personal living advice threads asking for your own personal advice. It is standard to assume posters are on topic to the OP, but it’s all good dude!

You are correct!! The reason for my questioning is because I was phone-interviewed for a job over on Swedesford Road at $17.50/hr. Which is a slightly more than half what I was making at my previous job. I understand that the cost of living may be a little cheaper here in PA than NJ or NY but what killed it for me was the commute from where I currently am: an hour and 45 minutes one way. That's why I was wondering what life is like (cost wise) down there. The dialysis we do at home 4 times a week.

Just to reiterate what I said earlier, I believe Phoenixville is the best bang for your buck, on the uptrend, and convenient to Malvern.

To clarify my previous description, I did not mean to make it sound like a ghetto - it's absolutely not, and I would not be recommending it if it was.

Phoenixville's statistics for crime, education, and income are sharply worse than Malvern's. It's not a preppy Main Line town, it's not a bad neighborhood, it's an "up-and-coming town which is still a little rough around the edges".

I'm sorry that I have to spell this out so clearly, and I am recommending Phoenixville as a good place to live.

You're good, buddy....I understood exactly what you were saying.... I didn't perceive it in a negative manner....
