Seattle isn't going anywhere. Don't believe the hype.
Don't think Amazon would continue to expand in a place that was dying.

Milkhouse is there still, right? Also, there is an Asian place and a pizza place at the far end toward the BSL/MFL. Also, there's a juice place (don't remember the name) and a coffee stand (Passero's?) that has some small offerings.

If you're there during weekday business hours, there are many other options through the Comcast doors (DiBruno's, two asian takeout places, etc.)

That's right I forgot Comcast is connected. Are any of those places open after 5pm like Tiffany's Bakery and Taco Bell?

Urba, in Suburban Station, has terrific smoothies if folks are into that kind of thing.

Yes, Milkhouse is there. Urba, which is near the 16th and JFK steps, is the juice place. They also have breakfast and lunch items. Also the Two Dunkin' Donuts.

Fast Wok, is the Asian place. It's been there for years as have the beauty supply and shoe stores. The shoe store has terrific bargains from time-to-time.

Asian take out places in the Comcast Ctr: sushi joint, Under the C(seafood) , Panda Express. There's also a Asian grocery store that has pretty good produce. Termini's which was inside the market / food court now has a much bigger space outside of it. There's something else in their old space but I forget what it is.

Au Bon Pain has been closing stores for about a year so and recently closed one in Harvard Sq. So the homeless stuff may have had nothing to do with why the one in Sub. Station closed.

Inspite of what we talked about there is another part of this in that there are essentially no homeless in the Broad St or Locust St underground concourses now.

The winter of '17-'18 was a mess particularly under one section of the Locust section leading to Patco. They lingered during summer.

This past winter the numbers gradually decreased even during the coldest weather. Now there's no one there. Septa is also starting to lock some of the gates wrt accessing the concourse during non-service hours.

Seattle is Dying

In short, they blame progressive policies (legalized possession of hard-drugs in small amounts, refusal to prosecute criminals, generally enabling the addiction) and recommend what Rhode Island is doing (state-run rehabs, with incarceration being the first step).
KOMO is owned by Sinclair MG which is a noted anti-government, right wing org with some very questionable points of view. Always question the source of stuff like this. Very one-sided, and typical Fox news style fear-mongering of the masses.
