I just happened to stumble on this. So sad. I never knew the guy, but seemed like someone I would've wanted to know. Anyone know him?

Oh I've known about this since Saturday. He was found early Friday morning. It is quite sad for the lgbtq+ community and really for the whole city. He was very proactive and fierce in his work so I am sure he will not be forgotten.

Damn. So he (apparently) shot himself at work?
Most people who kill them selves don't do it at work. So now I want to know details....what time? During business hours, or after hours. Did others hear the shot?

The way the story is written I'm presuming no one was around. Usually when you lead off with the person being "found dead" it can mean no one else was immediately there.

Lingering PSTD? I know one guy who went totally bat sh** crazy just about 15 years after he separated from the military.

Apparently there's been a tremendous increase in suicides. Some of you probably heard about the 3 NYPD officers who killed themselves over a ten day period just recently. One of them was only 29.

One guy was going to retire in a couple of weeks. I guess that he didn't have any plans.
