That's strange because Philadelphia has decades of wild political tales/escapades/corruption, is home to numerous reputed "haunted" areas, some of which are 200+ years old, the city's business and political leaders are known for getting into scandals, there are mob stories galore (shootouts on the expressway, gangland murders in front of residential homes), and it's full of neighborhoods and people that are the epitome of "homey" with 2 centuries of folklore and local legends and culture.

First of all it's PHILLY. It's PhilAdelphia, so where are you getting this E from?

Secondly, nobody cares. There are many more visitors to take your place.

The only acceptable usage of "Phillie" is when used to refer to an individual member of The Phillies.

It would probably be more helpful if you could rate/compare Philadelphia to some of the many other large cities you have visited.

It's easy to get that vibe from Philly (or any city for that matter, save for perhaps NYC) if you plan your trip poorly and/or are sucked into doing the lame anytown touristy crap (Ducks, Trolley Tour, etc).

No wild political tales?!?! No ghost stories?!?!

You sure you visited Philadelphia, Pennsylvania? LOL. If you did you must not know it at all.

Eastern State Penitentiary is one of the most "haunted" places in the country. There are "haunted" places all throughout the metro given how old the area is.

If you had a bad time in Philadelphia, I find it hard to believe that you will find anywhere fun.

I grew up in a small town in western PA and now live 30 minutes west of Philly (Newtown Square) and I can assure you Philadelphia has a prominent unique culture. Also any place with a reputation for crime such as Philly can NEVER be boring! I'm looking forward to living downtown if things turn out to let me move there.

I see living in Philly as owning a motorcycle... It's like getting to be alive for free. I feel bad for those who aren't.

The only time i've ever heard "rocky stairs" is when talking to tourists.

In any case, the "Fine Arts Museum" doesn't have any stairs. I think you might've been in a different city.

I lived in Seoul for a number of years, and loved it. I'm also not a fan of most us cities, however, I gotta say Philadelphia reminds the most of Seoul. Mostly the grit and so functional.
