I was watching a live coverage of it and this guy meandered up to the cops and tried to walk past them. He caught them off guard and they none too gently turned him around and sent him back the other way.

I have a business client about 10 blocks away that I only do once a year. Wouldn't walk five feet in that neighborhood.

Look, I hate Krasner. But, the last DA is a convicted felon serving time. Wrap your head around that and imagine trying to establish any level of morale in the DA's office afterward.

I'm no fan of Krasner but to suggest that the DA has an effect on the amount of crime that is committed is a ridiculous stretch.
It's circular and complicated but getting tougher and smarter on crime is the only way to move the needle. The current cast of characters isn't getting the job done and that SHOULD impact their longevity. It doesn't seem like it will unfortunately. I had high hopes for Kenny but his failure to impact crime, trash etc., is a massive disappointment.

Well, the DA is the top law enforcement officer in Philly at the same time contributing to the general disrespect for law enforcement. When the DA is openly stating that he's not going to enforce certain laws then, yes, the DA does have an effect on the amount of crime that is committed and is not a ridiculous stretch.
Include the DA and the Mayor not being supportive of the PPD and you'll see an increase in crime generally.
The 1st sentence of your last paragraph contradicts everything Krasner is doing and yet you claim the DA doesn't have an effect on the amount of crime committed. Krasner is not tough or smart on crime so the needle will continue to move upward unfortunately.
