I am unfamiliar with Prospect Park. I’m looking for feedback about the neighborhood regarding safety, diversity, culture, and traffic! Is it safe to walk a dog at night? How is it different from surrounding towns? Would an interracial couple be welcomed? Thanks in advance.

Safety is reasonable. Traffic can be congested as the smaller roads aren't 100% ready for today's traffic per se. I think you'd be fine as an interracial couple. Prospect Park certainly ain't "the sticks" as they call it.
