Doing a roadtrip around Philadelphia in a couple of weeks from up north and was wondering if there's a good place for a bit of hopefully peak colors leaf-peeping in the area. Something scenic, maybe historic, and some snacking / meal suggestions would be great! Right now we're thinking Longwood Gardens, but open to all sorts of suggestions.

I would suggest New Hope, PA. New Hope will remind you of a quaint town found in Britain IMO. Very historic and charming with restaurants along the river.

River Rd. is absolutely gorgeous. And there is a state park about 15 minutes south of the town with a stone tower you can climb to the top and get amazing views.

Hurry up tho, because the leaves fall off quick! Especially if we get rain/wind, which is forecasted this week!

This is the current PA fall foliage map: http://elibrary.dcnr.pa.gov/GetDocum...t_10-22-20.pdf

So you can see, it’s pretty much now for the fall colors.

I echo the suggestion of Bucks County as well. You can still see some colors in Chester County, (we were there last weekend), but a lot of trees were becoming bare. Given where we are in the season, I feel like being farther north gives you a better chance of seeing changing leaves AND having them still on the trees.
