Nouvelle Villa is on a distinguished road
Default Biking in Chester County

Hello all. I will be moving to West Chester and commuting to Villanova. I am an avid cyclist and would like to sometime commute by bike. If anyone could share any information they may have on roads between the 2 towns that are safe to ride on, I would greatly appreciate it. I generally prefer roads that have shoulders so as to not come into conflict with drivers. I thank anyone in advance kind enough to share information.

The back roads between Rt# 3 and Rt #30 between West Chester + Villanova are old country roads. I personally wouldnt want to ride a bike on either Rt. #3 or Rt #30. Rt3 is a pretty wide open in that stretch with a 55 MPH limit, Rt 30 is a quagmire, avoid at all cost bike or car.

Check out a map and there are several back roads you can use without getting involved with Rt3 or Rt 30. e.g. Paoli Pike, Sugartown road,Goshen Road,Whitehorse rd etc.

Good luck.
