The cost of parking in a PATCO lot (gated lots are free after 10 am) and riding into the city beats the cost of driving into the city and parking there (including the bridge tolls) unless one is attending the game with three or more other people.

South Jersey fans wouldn't need to "struggle with Center City" if the Sixers build their arena at the site they seek to build it if they're smart. And the connection from 8th and Market to the arena would also be all-weather via the concourse level of the Fashion District mall, which I would think would be undisturbed by the addition of the arena to the mix.

We were referring to those in SJ that are unwilling to ride transit. IDK, maybe they'd be willing to do what you propose, but I wouldn't know.

I've always taken the train to Center City. My son does, too. He wouldn't ever consider driving to a game.
