here's a switch: how about an Abington to King of Prussia commute? How long?

You would have to drive. If we used Abington Hospital as a starting point, your best case scenario is 25-30 minutes or so to the tolls at KOP. Go during rush hour and you can double or triple (on a really bad day) that. The PA turnpike is the most direct way - using alternative roads would probably always take longer.

The 22 and 55 buses go to the Olney Transportation Center via Easton Road and Old York Road, respectively. From there you can take the Broad Street Subway. North Philly reverse commuters on a tight budget often take this route out to work in the 'burbs. But it would be a long haul down to Center City for suburban residents. I knew a guy who tried to save money by doing the bus/subway combo into and it took him over an hour to get to Center City. Contrast that with about 40 minutes max from Willow Grove, the furthest point out in greater Abington.
